…and Happy New Year!
It’s been almost 6 months since my last post. So I truly don’t expect y’all to remember me… or even be reading this post. But I’m back! Maybe? Because we all know how this has worked in the past. All I know is it has been a half a year since my last post and I MISS IT!
Let’s see – the last couple of posts I had in July talked about my weight-loss and my new job. Well as far as weight-loss goes I didn’t get back on the bandwagon like I said I would. The only change in my diet was I went from eating out every day to eating at my preschool in preschooler portions. Just that kept me down a few pounds over the past couple of months while changing NOTHING ELSE. The hubs and I have gotten a personal trainer that we will be working with individually for 30 minutes each, 3 times a week. I’m scaaaared. These people are no joke and they are going to kick my ass. The owner of the place has been awesome and really helpful… he was really excited to meet the hubs and I so he did a little video with us and took some photos so he can document our journey with us. He also offered to give whoever loses 100 lbs first $100. I’ll take that challenge! My ultimate goal if I can really get on board and stick with it this time would be to lose 100 lbs by Thanksgiving… if I really wanted to kick some ass it would be by October 1, what a milestone for my best friend’s wedding on October 5!
My new job has been fantastic… like I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better situation. I love going to work every day and work with a great group of girls. I also love seeing all of these adorable sweet preschooler faces every day… of course that has kept baby fever high and mighty — something else I hope to visit once we can hit that 100 lb weight loss mark!
We hit our one year mark in October since we had started Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. We checked out all of our numbers to compare how we have done over the past year and I’m proud to say with a little bit of sacrifice and just being more aware of our spending we paid off $17,000 of debt! I was so excited to know we had done so well without having to feel like we were just sacrificing everything in life. Starting our business helped contribute to that $17k as well! We have a couple of friends who wanted to do Dave’s FPU program as well so we purchased our own personal facilitator kit and will be doing the program for our third time with them in a small group starting at the end of this month. Hopefully this will just continue to keep us motivated for our ultimate goal — living like no one else now so later we can LIVE LIKE NO ONE ELSE.
Other then that the holidays were great and as of the 28th I’m officially 28 years old. I seriously don’t know when I hit this age, it seemed to happen out of no where. My favorite gift was definitely finally getting my wedding band, it’s gorgeous!

I will be adding some nail shenanigans into the mix… even the ones that don’t turn out great!

3. January - 2:24 amI’m so glad I never got rid of you from my reader! I plan on taking Dave Ramsey’s FPU later this month. We’ve done okay with tackling our debt, but I’m thinking I need some new motivation.
Also, have you looked at the Whole30 challenge (also similar to Paleo, but that seems to have a much more negative connotation). I’ve seen lots of people have great success with it, and I’ve been trying it out for my own reset this month. You know it’s bad when you can’t fit into your jeans anymore!
Your ring is absolutely gorgeous!

4. January - 7:00 pmSo glad you’re back!!! I’ve also not done much in the past year about my weight, seriously depressing, but I keep thinking it’s time for CHANGE. I also need to lose weight so I can take care of that whole baby fever thing. Let’s do this!!!!! And maybe some time since we’re both fairly local we can meet up for a hike or something, would love to meet in person!
